PPU handgun ammo
PPU (Prvi Partizan) is made in Serbia and the company has been around for over 100 years. I’ve used the ammo over several years in several different chamberings, both rifle and pistol including 9mm,10mm, 38 special and 357 magnum, 45 ACP, 762×54 Russian, 8X56 Steyr, and 303 British and have reloaded the brass, and it’s good brass.
The 147 grain JHP ammo is lead core copper jacketed and is part of theri “Defense Line” of ammunition. It’s rated at 984 fps.
I was unsure about this ammo but went ahead and picked up my 2 box limit of PPU JHP today at Sportsman’s for $18.99 per 50 round box. Next time out I probably will shoot a little to see where POI falls compared to my other 147 gr JHP.
Strict quality controls and exacting production tolerances give high-volume shooters reliable accuracy and shot-after-shot consistency. Choose from many handgun calibers, with numerous bullet options for any shooting application. All are boxer-primed with a noncorrosive primer. Reloadable brass cases. Per 50 rounds.
Item: IK-217249.
In general PPU is good ammo. I cannot say about 6.8 as I have not tried it. I have had no problems with the S&B that I have used. Wish I could be more help.
Experience
bought a bunch of ppu a couple years back Ppu bthp is surprisingly accurate in my 6.8s . I use it to get dialed in as it shoots same POA as my CBB 105 s . The brass is large primer and I don’t save it . ___If you reload or have friends that do S&B is great brass and if you hunt and use factory ammo S&B is as good as any for deer . ___ So for range ammo to play with cheaper is better for reloading or shooting live targets S&B is the way to go.
