Overview
Reloder 25, Every container of Alliant Smokeless Powder is backed by a century of manufacturing experience and the most exacting quality control procedures in the industry. Chemical composition, grain shape and size, and overall density are constantly checked and tested in a ballistics lab to ensure consistency.
It is Alliant’s slowest burning powder, making it an excellent choice for the Weatherby Magnum cartridges as well as the Winchester Magnum and Winchester Short Magnum families. Because it’s slower burning, it creates a more crucial higher energy levels for those dangerous games hunts when there’s no room for error.

I could not find a powder that gave the velocity and accuracy that I needed for my .257 Weatherby Magnum. That is until I got hold of some RL-25. This powder when used with the heavier bullets in the .257 (100gr-120gr) produced top velocities and tightest groups (.25 inches for 2 different bullets at 100 yards) in my rifle. I would not expect this to work well in standard calibers as it is a slow burning powder best suited to magnum rifles using magnum primers

Developed a load using RL-25 for my 300 Win Mag and 180 grain Rem Corlokt bullets. The combination is accurrate and lethal. Clean, one-shot kills at 300+ yards. Staying with this load for as long as I can!
